By hosting a wireless broadband Hot Spot, business can attract new customers and charge for access as a way of defraying monthly Internet access costs. The "dot" spot combines a window LAN access point, 4 port switch, NAT router and service gateway in a single box. No PC is needed for operation. A compact, one button thermal printer connects directly to the gateway, allowing clerks and cashiers to easily print receipts with billing information as well as user name and password. No back-end system integration is needed which makes launching and operating a Hot Spot easier than ever!

The "dot" spot automatically configures the correct IP address for internet access, regardless of a user's computer settings. The built in technology recognizes new users on the network and accommodates all IP configurations, such as DHCP, Private IP or Static IP, without altering the settings. Customers and users are not faced with the inconvenience of IP reconfiguration normally associated with accessing a new or different network.

A built in authentication server allows administrators to manage subscriber access with login names and passwords.

Easy to Use & Manage

The "dot" spot features and easy to use web based management interface. The "operating system independent" interface allows operators to set user access privileges in increments of time such as minutes, days or even months. The time increments, along with billing and other user information are conveniently printed on the button operated printer included in the "dot" spot. Time increments may be compiled simply by pressing the printer button multiple times. No computers or complex back end subscriber management systems are required for deployment.

When customers and users launch a web browser, the built in captive portal feature automatically directs the customer to the secure login page.
